Fall is our favorite time of the year - the rustling of leaves, the cool crisp air, sweaters and scarves, and of course football! Back in 2011 my dear old mum gave me two large flower pots that her neighbors threw out. My mum knows me all too well. They were faded and on their last leg. I broke out the spray paint, painted them black and here they are, looking new again. I've had them sitting on each side of my front door since then changing out the flowers to match the season. This fall season, I decided to go with white mums because they look so pure and fresh!
I added in pumpkins of different sizes and colors, and embellished the large one to give it some interest. I found the "M" monogram, the cute little spiders, spiderwebs, bats and black cats at Hobby Lobby and spent around $5.00 but it really dresses up the pumpkin.
On the door, I hung a colorful fall wreath and the cutest little owl I bought at a fall festival last year in Iowa.
And finally, I couldn't do a post about fall traditions and decorating without including my son's sweet little dog, Nico, decked out for Halloween.
What is your favorite fall tradition?
